The Composite Extruder for Method and Method X from MakerBot is a special component that allows experienced 3D printer users to create products using carbon fiber materials. The nylon carbon fiber filament is ideal for creating structural applications and metal replacement parts. The reinforced nylon is heat-resistant, optimized for high-strength applications, and offers engineering-grade stiffness for items such as vehicular brackets and inspection gauges.
With a tensile strength of 110 MPa, carbon fiber printing is ideal for lightweight applications such as robotic end effectors.
Tensile Modulus of 7600 MPa offers engineering-grade stiffness for structural applications.
Able to withstand temperatures up to 363°, this material is optimal for under-hood tooling applications.
